Summer is certainly over for this year and everyone is now looking forward to fall. There will be two fall festivals held in the Arlington area on October 13 to help celebrate the change in seasons. It seems likely that local printing companies will be helping the organizers of these events get the word out to the community through services like flyer printing.
The Fall Heritage Festival will take place at the Gulf Branch Nature Center from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, with admission priced at $5, although children aged two and under are admitted free. This family-friendly festival will take place in the vicinity of the Walker Log House and there will be old time games to play and crafts to make.
Later in the month, on October 20, the Gulf Branch Nature Center will also be holding the Fabulous Fall Scavenger Hunt, in which children search the area for items they need to build a craft. For more information on this, call 703-228-3403.
The Fall Festival, a fundraising event for the Potomac Crescent Waldorf School, will also take place on October 13 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm and admission is $15. The festival will feature games, a puppet theater, lunch, a silent auction, music, and crafts. Children will get the chance to dye a silk scarf, create a pinecone person, and make a felt necklace. Items created by the Waldorf Handworks, such as dolls, will also be on sale. Call 703-486-1309 to find out more.
Either or both of these festivals will no doubt be a good way to kick off the fall season.
