Back-to-school event comes to Missouri City
A Houston organization has a plan to help Missouri City residents prepare for the upcoming school year.
The American Caribbean Chamber of Commerce of Houston will present the Back 2 School Mega Fest in early August. This organization has brought together many community resources, and patrons can consider this a one-stop event to meet several common needs for kids returning to the classroom.
Parents simply participate in a drive-through for free backpacks, groceries, personal hygiene items, athletics vouchers, and even free haircut vouchers. These items and services are available on a first come, first served basis. Entertainment will be available to all as well, including face painting, music, and raffle prizes for both kids and parents. Food and apparel vendors will be on hand also. Events like this are often promoted using flyer printing or other graphic design services.

This event will be held on Friday, August 8 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. It will be hosted by the Landmark Community Center at 100 Louisiana Street in Missouri City. Children must be present with the parent in the vehicle to receive school supplies. Vendors and those wishing to donate are encouraged to contact the organization.
