Avon Lake bar crawl to help local dog organization
SoulMutts will host an event in Avon Lake where people can support local businesses and homeless dogs.
The 2nd Annual Pup Crawl invites people to enjoy an evening throughout Avon Lake while raising money for dogs in need. Several businesses will participate in the bar crawl, including Edacious & Goonie’s Hot Dog Shop, The Dogg House Bar & Grill, and Tailgators. Each of the participating venues will donate 10% of their food and drink sales to protect homeless dogs.
The organization that will benefit from this event is Love-A-Stray, a nonprofit group of volunteers who find foster families for abandoned dogs. The group is committed to finding permanent or at least temporary homes for all dogs they care for. People can adopt a pet from the organization by filling out its online application. Those who want to help Love-A-Stray can donate money or items from its wish list, such as durable dog toys, leashes, and dog beds.
The bar crawl will be held on Friday, June 14th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There is no cost to register or receive a passport from the organizers. Stamps for the passport will only be given to participants who purchase an item from the venues. There will also be raffles held throughout the evening. Shelters in charge of similar community activities may use print shops to make custom passports for their own crawls.
