The NYS Parks Long Island Environmental Education will present Bird and Breakfast: Adult Program in the Patchogue area for any birders interested in enjoying an informative seminar and a tasty breakfast.
The event is a joint effort between the Long Island Environmental Education agency and the Great South Bay Audubon Society to provide the public with a fun, interactive way to learn about local and migratory birds found in the Long Island area. The Great South Bay Audubon Society’s mission is to be an advocate for the conservation of birds and other wildlife native to the area.
The Bird and Breakfast event will feature a continental breakfast and a presentation highlighting the migratory and native birds of Long Island. Afterwards, attendees will be invited to take a walk through the preserve, which will be led by expert birders from the Audubon Society. Identification Books and binoculars will be available to borrow for those who do not have their own.
Educational events like this will often be advertised in tourist Brochures that can be found in welcome centers and nature reserves. Print shops offering brochure printing can be a big help to organizers wishing to go down this route.
The nature program is slated for Saturday, September 14 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. It will take place at Connetquot River State Park Preserve, located at 4090 Sunrise Highway.
