Rotary club to host charity tournament for veterans' organizations

Next month, the Berlin Rotary Club will host its 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament to raise funds for local veterans'’ organizations for any West Berlin locals interested in participating.

The Berlin Rotary Club is a group of professionals dedicated to community service and humanitarian issues. In 1905, Chicago attorney Paul P. Harris founded the first Rotary club as a place for professionals of diverse backgrounds to meet and exchange ideas on how to make the world a better place. Now, Rotary club members span the globe in numbers ranging over 1.2 million and participate in numerous charity efforts.

The cornhole tournament will occur at Palace Diner's Tapped Bar & Beer Garden and will benefit local veterans’ nonprofits. There will be team, vendor, and sponsorship registration options to choose from. Team registration is $50, while vendor registration is $25. Sponsorship opportunities include the $500 Yellow Ribbon Event Sponsor, the $250 Stars and Stripes Sponsor, and $50 Event Sign Sponsor.

Business sponsors of events like this often utilize print shops specializing in poster printing and sign printing to create signage and posters that can be used at the event.

The charity tournament is slated for June 5, with registration starting at 11:00 am and the actual tournament beginning at 12:00 pm. For more information, those interested can contact Randy von der Tann at 856-335-1835.
