Locals wined-up for upcoming half marathon
West Berlin residents are raising a glass to the upcoming Run the Vineyards Half Marathon happening in the nearby town of Williamstown this November.
Blue Cork Winery and Vineyards will be hosting the 13.1-mile chipped race that will traverse part of its vineyard property. The course will be mostly flat and paved, with hydration and aid stations set up every two miles. The race will also feature on-course cheer and music stations to encourage racers, so event organizers may be in need of businesses that specialize in banner printing to help decorate the course.
Racers and supporters are invited to an after-party, which will feature food trucks, relaxation areas, and live music. Participants 21 and up will receive a complimentary glass of wine as well. Vendors will be selling race-related products, which presents a branding opportunity to feature the event’s logo design on various items. Awards will also be presented to the winner in the overall and age group categories. All participants will receive a finisher medal, as well as a souvenir wine glass and long-sleeved apparel, yet to be announced.
