Local YMCA to host gala
The Glouchester County YMCA Board of Directors is working with a team of professionals from South Jersey for a fundraiser.
The Y for All Fall Gala will earn money for the non-profit and will be on October 10 at Berlin's Lucien's Manor, just south of West Berlin. The goal is to raise at least $75,000 up to $100,000 for the local YMCA, which starting in 1912.
Although the organization still has a charter with the national group, it receives no financial aid for it. The board of directors and its programs are responsible for its income.
TD Bank representative and volunteer chairman Greg Carlisle is grateful for other professionals to work with them such as KEH Insurance's Steve Kantor, Les Vail of the county's chamber of commerce, and Mike Sherman of Vanguard Building Solutions. Every little bit helps. A gala will bring in a substantial sum of funds, which will allow the YMCA to increase its reputation in the community and continue its core mission.
Steve Kantor wanted to become more involved with the YMCA when he discovered that it was more than a place to swim and work out. He is excited to ensure that the organization can carry on aiding each of its community members grow, learn, and thrive despite income, age, or background.
Gala tickets are $150 each and are now available for sale. Sponsorships are also available. Interested parties can go to the organization's website. Flyer printing is often used to advertise galas like these.
