Dinner and dancing to benefit womens scholarships
The South New Jersey Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women is sponsoring an event in West Berlin.
This is the sixteenth year of the fundraiser. It includes a silent auction, masquerade ball, and the Candace Woman of Achievement Awards. The awards recognize women in the Delaware Valley who have managed outstanding achievements throughout their lives.
Guests will meet at Luciens Manor at 81 West White Horse Pike. The dress code is semi-formal with masks being optional but encouraged. Valet parking and a professional photographer are available. Only adults may attend and there will be a cash bar.
WDAS-FM Radio's Patty Jackson will host the event. The Westin in Mount Laurel is offering a special room rate for groups attending the event under the coalition’s name. As a non-profit, the Coalition advocates for the advancement of women in the modern world.
The cost to attend the Candace Awards and Masquerade Ball is $90. Those events are sold together and include the silent auction, dinner, hors d'oerves, entertainment, and a journal. The journals will serve as both souvenirs and corporate gifts. The money raised will go toward the organization's scholarships. Individuals and organizations can help sponsor the event.
The fundraiser starts on March 21 at 6:00 pm and ends at midnight the next day. The awards reception starts at 6:00 pm. The Silent Auction, dinner, and Masquerade Ball starts at 8:00 pm.
