COVID-19 conference to shed light on children's anxiety
Next month, the Voorhees Township, near to West Berlin, will host the ‘Children, COVID & Coping: Tackling the Mental Health Impact of COVID-19’ conference for area health professionals.
The conference will be hosted by the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative, a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of pregnant individuals and their families. Prominent mental health experts across South Jersey will discuss the mental repercussions of the pandemic, including how to guide the community through grief from loss of loved ones, social isolation, disruption in daily activities, and the stress of remote learning. The effects on children’s wellbeing and mental health will be the primary focus of the seminars.
Experts will identify methods to help children and their families deal with these issues using school-based resources. The targeted audience will be those working in the medical, educational, and social care sectors.
Local print shops can play a vital role in the organization of such conferences, as event hosts often have need of printing services that can print materials such as flyers in bulk.
The conference is scheduled for August 3 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. It will take place at the Virtua Barry D. Brown Health Education Center located on 106 Carnie Boulevard, Voorhees Township, only five miles from West Berlin. Member admission is $35 and non-member admission is $45.
