Trio of breweries to open by end of summer

Maryland Heights is expected to be the location of three new craft breweries before fall of this year.

Two months ago, the Progress Parkway O'Fallon Brewery venue opened its doors to the public. Dorsett Road will be home to Standard Brewing Company, and Six Mile Bridge Beer by this season's end. They bring with them over a hundred new jobs for the community.

Brian Owens, head brewer at the O'Fallon Brewery, stated that Maryland Heights is a great location for brewers because it can serve both St. Louis County and St. Charles County equally.

Owens believes that having multiple breweries in the area will encourage patrons to try them all and compare. Jeff Harlan, the general manager of Standard Brewing Company, concurred. He added that 15 to 20 minutes is all it takes to get to the new location for most city and county residents. His company will be taking over the old Fuddruckers location off I-270. It will offer local beers, spirits, and wines, keeping with the St. Louis theme. The grains used the brew the product will be used to make pizza.

The breweries could also use the same printing company for their Business Cards and have each other's cards at their respected establishments. This would reach patrons who may not have been aware that there were other breweries in the area.
