Maryland Heights will soon be home to the headquarters of Jackson Tree Service.
The company is well known in the St. Louis area for tree maintenance and removal. It regularly has jobs in Maryland Heights, along with nearby Creve Coeur, Florissant, Webster Groves, and Overland. Its new location at 11388 Dorsett Road will be more than double its current size, and the yard accompanying it is also almost twice as big.
According to Mike Ballard, the co-owner of Jackson Tree Service, the company has grown and requires a bigger location for its headquarters. That way, it can help the local area in which it has served for nearly six decades. The bigger location will also create more efficiency and save money, meaning lower prices for clients, Mr. Ballard says.
Rachel Ballard, also a co-owner, added that Maryland Heights has always made them feel welcome and accommodating. The company has worked with various departments such as Parks, Street Maintenance, and Community Development. Ms. Ballard says it has established a close relationship with the city, which is one reason why the company chose to remain close by.
Lawrence Ballard founded the company in 1960, and it is his grandson Mike and granddaughter-in-law Rachel who run the business today.
