Paper shredding and music headed for Maryland Heights

Maryland Heights will provide two very different needs - entertainment and identity protection – in early August.

The City of Maryland Heights is hosting a paper shredding event at the beginning of the month. This is a chance for residents to securely destroy sensitive documents that contain private information, thus helping prevent identity theft.

There is no charge to shred documents, although it is limited to 10 file Boxes or around 20 grocery paper Bags. Residents can use any container they prefer to bring the documents to the Government Center at 11911 Dorsett Road. There will be Signs directing drivers and pedestrians in the parking lot with access to Dorsett Road. Poster printing is one way to make temporary directional Signs.

This event is for residents only, so businesses should not attend. Maryland Heights has a contract with American Document Destruction in order to supply this opportunity. Gabby Macaluso can answer any questions by email at gmac@marylandheights.com or by phone at 314-738-2204.

Also, the Summer Concert Series will conclude with two more concerts in Vago Park. The Park is at 2700 Fee Fee Road near Midland Avenue. Both concerts are free but individuals must register to attend. Each ticket accounts for four people in a space that adheres to social distancing guidelines.

The paper shredding event is on August 1, 9:00 am to noon. The penultimate summer concert with RetroNerd is on August 7, before Abbey Road Warriors round off the concert series on August 14. Both concerts will start at 7:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm.
