Monthly market welcomes local residents

The Maryland Heights Pop-Up Market returns this summer, with locally sourced food and merchandise. Residents will have several opportunities to explore the shops throughout the season.

Held at the local community center, the marketplace will offer farm fresh produce, locally sourced meats, cheese, eggs and honey, and homemade baked goods, salsa and jams. Vendors with locally grown plants and shrubs, handmade crafts, art work, vintage goods, clothing, collectibles and home décor will also be included in the event. The pop-up shop will also feature live musical entertainment, a variety of food trucks, and balloons for the children.

Vendor applications are still being accepted for the market, with an application available on the City of Maryland Heights website. Vendors must be selling handmade or homegrown items, and may choose to distribute Business Cards during the event. Resale products are not permitted. All sellers must provide their own table and chairs, and will need to retain a St. Louis County Health Permit, a tax license and liability insurance. The fee to participate is $30.00 per day, with fees due at least one day in advance.

The Pop-Up Market will be held on the first Wednesdays of the summer months, including July 7th, August 4th and September 1st, from 4:00-8:00 PM. The sale will be held at the Maryland Heights Community Center, located at 2300 McKelvey Road. The event is appropriate for all ages, and admission is free of charge.
