Maryland Heights to organize kickball league

The City of Maryland Heights Parks & Recreation Department will hold a kickball league for adults this June.

Those interested in getting more active in a fun and competitive environment can take part in the Adult Coed Kickball League. The competitive series invites teams of up to 15 people to compete in a multi-week league, and the competition is open to both men and women. No kickball scouts will attend the games as the league is more focused on participants having fun and being social. Each game will take place at the Vago Park Ballfield in Maryland Heights.

Teams interested in playing in the coed kickball league must follow several guidelines. All groups in the competition must have female athletes and the minimum number of women on a team varies depending on the team size. Groups are also expected to wear the same colored shirt for each game. The league will have a seven-week regular season and single-elimination playoffs. All games will last for 50 minutes or seven innings.

The cost to participate in the Adult Coed Kickball League will be $400 per team. The deadline to register for the recreation department’s competition is June 1st, and the kickball series will begin on Monday, June 9th. Participants are asked to park at the front of the Vago Park Ballfield during games. Organizations that hold community sports activities like this may use banner printing to promote their leagues.
