Maryland Heights to offer several seasonal activities

The Maryland Heights Parks & Recreation Department will organize three fun fall activities in October for all ages.

Children, teens, and families looking for festive programs can participate in one of the events from the Maryland Heights Parks & Recreation Department. A family bingo session will take place at the Maryland Heights Community Center where people can earn prizes related to kids, meals, and refreshments. Families can take part in free activities at the fun fair in Vago Park. There will even be a scavenger hunt for those ages 10-14.

The Maryland Heights Parks & Recreation Department was formed in 1986. Many notable facilities are maintained by the recreation department, including the Maryland Heights Community Center, Centene Community Ice Center, and the Aquaport. The group also has a scholarship program that helps kids and teens gain access to leisure activities. People can work for the department by becoming instructors who teach subjects like wellness, sports, and cultural arts.

The family bingo activity will be on Thursday, October 12 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and the family fair is on Saturday, October 21 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The teen’s scavenger hunt is on Tuesday, October 24 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The bingo session costs $10, and the teen activity is $15 to join. Departments in charge of similar activities may use poster printing to help more members of their communities see the ads.
