Maryland Heights to host spring conference

The District 8 Toastmasters will hold its first in-person conference in Maryland Heights since switching to virtual in 2019.

The District 8 Toastmasters Spring Conference is a two-day event where guests can meet with other club members and participate in club activities. The theme for this year’s event is “Are We There Yet?” Those at the convention can partake in educational sessions and elect the organization’s officers for 2025. The meet and greet on the first day of the event will include refreshments and an open bar. Guests will be served dinner on both nights of the conference.

The District 8 Toastmasters is a branch of the International Toastmasters organization that serves eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois. The purpose of the group is to empower individuals to help them become leaders and effective communicators. There are more than 110 clubs in the District 8 Toastmasters branch. Some programs offered by the organization include the Southern Illinois Toastmasters Speechcraft Program and the Toastmasters Pathways Learning Experience.

The spring conference will take place on Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th. Registration for the event is $160 per person, though the registration fees will be waived for those who join the event’s Double Good Fundraiser. Clubs that are in charge of large conferences like this may bring promotional Pens to hand out to attendees so they have something for taking notes.
