Newly rebranded Gander Outdoors will reopen near Maryland Heights.
The store chain's original name was Gander Mountain before The Profit star Marcus Lemonis bought it last year. Many of the closed locations will reopen, including the one in Chesterfield.
The store is geared around outdoor sports equipment, including watersports, fishing, hunting, camping, and other shooting and active sports. Camping World Holdings, a camping and outdoor retailer, owns the chain.
The Chesterfield location is set to open early this year at 18491 Outlet Boulevard, which has 60,000 square feet of space for service, Apparel, supplies, and sales. It will also add 55 jobs to the local market.
According to Lemonis, who is also a Camping World Holdings Chairman, the Chesterfield location had done well serving the community when it was open. It also had outstanding customer service. The company hopes to reopen more Gander Outdoors stores and will start disclosing other secured locations soon. Lemonis believes he has a method to turn a profit with around 70 stores in the chain, which includes negotiating for better property leases.
The date for the ribbon cutting celebration has yet to be disclosed, but the store is looking for employees currently. Rebranding a small company often includes remodeling the Logo Design to reflect the changes in the brand, such as the name of the store.
