Later this year, the Docks Expo will be held at the St. Charlies Convention Center. The convention center serves the St. Charles area including Maryland Heights.
This will be the second year of the expo, which caters to businesses and individuals in the business of docks, marinas, and boatyards. The event had to move to a bigger venue because last year, it sold out for exhibitors. The new convention center is 36,000 square feet and has an attached hotel.
Guests can visit exhibits by professionals and network with others in the industry. Boatyard administration magazine Marina Dock Age hosts the event, and has been published for 25 years.
According to Marina Dock Age publisher and Waterways Journal president Nelson Spencer, Jr., around 500 guests and 90 exhibits will be at the expo. Since the event did so well last year, he hopes the expo will be even better this year, with more participation and a bigger space.
At the same time, the University of Wisconsin-Madison will teach a class called Docks and Marinas. The course lasts for two days and details how to design and manage a boat docking area and run a business. The expo also offers educational panels on similar topics, as well as an award ceremony for Marinas of the Year.
Taking place during the weekend of November 30 until December 2, the expo should be an optimal place to network and exchange custom Business Cards.
