Community racing festival to return to Maryland Heights

Maryland Heights will host a beer-themed race in August at the Tremayne Shelter in Creve Coeur Park.

The Aug Fest Run is an annual racing activity where people can compete in a 6K and 12K run around the scenic Creve Coeur Lake. Awards are offered to the two best male or female runners in each age category and the top two overall runners. Participants are invited to a post-race festival with munchies, music, and beverages from local microbreweries. The aid station at the event will only provide runners with water and electrolyte drinks.

Businesses can use the Aug Fest Run to improve their visibility by becoming a sponsor for the race. The packages start at $600, which includes getting to place a company logo onto the race shirts and a booth at the Finish Line Festival. The other sponsorships range from $950 to $6,000. The other benefits organizations can receive for sponsoring the fest include having their logos featured on the Step & Repeat banner and being mentioned on social media.

The races will occur on Saturday, August 12 from 3:45 pm to 7:00 pm. People can sign up for the 6K for $25 and the 12K for $30. Those interested in volunteering may assist the organizers with the water station and the Finish Line Festival. Companies in charge of public racing activities like this may use flyer printing to raise awareness for their athletic programs.
