Bodies Race Company of St. Louis is set to host a run in Maryland Heights.
The Candy Cane Course is a yearly family-friendly race with a holiday theme. The event is timed and there will be awards for each gender and age category. There will also be an additional award for the top female and male runner aged 40 and up.
Aside from the race, there will be a costume contest and free photo opportunities. Smaller kids can participate in a dash for prizes.
Early registration is $34 for the 5K and 10K, and $37 for the virtual race. The price for these three races goes up on November 30. The West 5K and 10K youth races for children under the age of 13 are $16 before December 11.
Each participant gets a shirt with the race's Logo Design and can enjoy refreshments after the race, and hoodies will also be available for those who sign up by December 10. Individuals who cross the finish line will receive a custom finishers medal. Proceeds from the race will go toward local non-profits.
The Candy Cane Course will take place on December 19, starting at 8:00 am at the Tremayne Shelter in Creve Couer Park, which is at 13725 Marine Avenue. Packets will be available for pickup on the day of the race from 6:45 to 7:30 am.
