Bakery to rise in Maryland Heights

KSDK-TV has reported that St. Louis company Companion Bakery plans to relocate to 2331 Schuetz Road in Maryland Heights.

The new headquarters lot spans 4.5 acres and will be in a 41,000 square foot building. There will be a baking school, private event area, baking facility, and a cafe spanning 2,500 square feet with 60 seats inside. The whole project will cost $5m to build.

Everyone in the St. Louis location will be transferred to the new building, and the company is likely to have more positions open in production once the move is over. Breaking ground for the new building is estimated to start in March and the company plans to transition everything over by August.

Josh Allen, a graduate of Stanford University with no prior culinary experience, opened Companion Bakery in 1993. It prides itself on allowing its employees to be creative with what they produce and maintaining relationships with small businesses. Companion sells both wholesale and retail, and several St. Louis grocery stores sell Companion Bakery baked goods.

The bakery will no doubt want to let their customers know their new address and point new customers to the right location. They can use a business card printing company to update their digital Business Cards with the new address, and such a company make also see an increase in orders due to the possibility of job creation.
