The fifth annual Concert in the Trees will return to Maryland Heights next month. This year’s event will feature an outdoor walking tour of several art exhibits, and live music.
Brought to the community by Forest ReLeaf of Missouri, the theme for the 2021 event is The Social Life of Trees. Local artists featured at this event include Jurni Bayoc, Eugenia Alexander, Ben Bradshaw, Aaron McMullin, Dail Chambers, and students from Britt Tate-Beaugard’s art class at Bryan Hill Elementary school
The artists have created work reflecting on how humans are socially connected, emotionally dependent on one another, and the beauty of the nature that surrounds us.
Attendees will also enjoy the music of local African drummers, including Baba Mike Nelson and the St. Louis Osuwa Taiko. Ticket holders will receive a gift bag, including Promotional Products from event sponsors, a Forest ReLeaf T-shirt, and a complimentary beverage.
The event will be held at the CommuniTree Gardens Nursery, located in Creve Coeur Park in Maryland Heights, at 2194 Creve Coeur Mill Road South. The arboretum and nursery will also be open for viewing during the event.
Tickets are available on the Eventbrite website, at a cost of $30 each. Two timeslots are available on the evening of Thursday, May 27th, including 6:00 to 7:00 PM, and 7:00 to 8:00 PM. All proceeds from the event will help plant local trees.
