Quartet of events planned at Port St. Lucie venue

MidFlorida Credit Union Event Center has four festivals in late September and early October.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage month, the Puerto Rican Association of Hispanic Affairs will present The 17th Annual San Juan Festival & Business Expo from noon until 10:00 pm on September 25. Family-friendly festivities will include arts and crafts, live music, vendors, food, and drinks. Entertainment will include Frankie Negron, Mines Pena, Niveli Nation, and David Lucca.

Also on the same day from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, the center will hold the Suncoast Basset Rescue Annual Fundraiser. After appetizers, dinner, and dessert, there will be the Annual Charity silent and live auctions from four themed stations, with proceeds going to meet the medical needs of Floridian rescued basset hounds. Tickets are $70 each.

On October 1, from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Oktoberfest comes to the event center. Free German food, drinks, dancing, and live music will be available and there will be a wiener dog race.

The Exotic Bird Expo on October 2 to 3 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm will feature bird breeders selling a wide variety of rare birds and vendors selling bird-care merchandise. Adult admission will be $5 and kids 12 and under will be free.
