What's Happening in Port Saint Lucie, FL…

Port St. Lucie abounds with fall festivals

At least three Port St. Lucie fall festivals are being scheduled for the coming weeks.

On Saturday, October 23, Sunlight Community Church at 477 SW Cashmere Boulevard is having its Fall Festival from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Activities will include a candy cannon, trunk or treat, costume contest, petting zoo, and bounce houses. There will also be live music, a theatrical show, hay rides, family-friendly games, and food trucks. Admission is free but capacity will be limited.

Also, a Fall Fun Fest will be held at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Event Center, 9221 S.E. Event Center Place on October 29 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, October 30 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and October 31 from 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm. The event will have a carnival, live music, food vendors, and trick-or-treating.

Moving into next month, Tradition Square will be having its Fall Harvest Fest Saturday on November 20 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. More than 60 local artisans, along with food trucks and vendors, will be selling items, many of which will be geared to the holidays. Some will be handmade gifts, clothing, candles, jewelry, and soaps. Other items will include paintings, wood and contemporary art, baked goods, glass art, and home décor. The venue will have live music food, a kids’ zone, and photo booth.

Pictures taken at photo booths at festivals like this often are raced to local stationery printers to be made into holiday cards. Admission will be free.
