Miami now home to first Pieology Pizzeria in Florida

The California-based restaurant Pieology Pizzeria has decided to see how its made-to-order pizzas go over in The Sunshine State, by opening its first ever Florida location in Miami.

Using an assembly-line process similar to that used by Chipotle and Subway, Pieology allows customers to direct the creation of their own custom-made pizzas, as well as salads. For those who find the many choices too much to deal with, there are seven signature pizzas and five signature salads available to which customers can add their own personal touch.

Customers start by choosing between regular, whole-wheat, or gluten-free dough for their 11.5-inch pizza. Next comes selecting from eight sauces, followed by 40 ingredient options. The pies are baked in a stone oven for less than three minutes, after which the customer can choose a “flavor blast” such as barbecue, pesto, or buffalo.

Customizable salads, which were added to the menu earlier in 2016, offer a choice of either romaine hearts, spinach, or organic field greens with over 40 possible salad ingredients and five signature salad dressings available

To build a clientele quickly, many new restaurants, especially casual ones, use a flyer printing service and include a coupon to bring local business people in for lunch.

The Miami Pieology Pizzeria is open now from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm at the Fountain Square shopping plaza in the West Miami-Dade neighborhood of Fontainebleau.
