Brandon runs through January
Many Brandon fitness enthusiasts will be donning their sneakers and entering two races during January.
The 3rd Annual Tampa Resolution Run 5K and 10K will take place on Saturday, January 4. The course is set up for both runs. The 5K Runners will run the big loop and the small loop. The 10K participants will run the big loop twice and then the small loop twice. Every finisher will receive a performance shirt sporting the event logo design and a medal.
Start time for the 10K will be 8:00 am and the 5K walk/run will begin five minutes later. The end time for both races will be at noon. Registration will be $40 for the 10m and $30 for the 5K.
The event will also feature Virtual 10Ks and 5Ks. Registration for the virtual runs will be $25.
The second annual Harper’s Foundation 5K will take place on January 11 from 8:00 pm until noon at FX Fitness Studio, 932 W. Lumsden Road. Registration fees will be $25. The event will offer a virtual run which will also cost $25. Check in will begin at 7:00 am and the race will begin at 8:00 am.
Proceeds from the race will go to the Village Water Project. This program brings access to drinking water and health and hygiene education to small communities throughout the world.
