What's Happening in Brandon, FL…

Brandon lights up and jingles all the way

Santa Claus and all that Christmas spirit is just around the corner as the annual Jinglefest will be ushering in the season in early December. Organizers of this school fundraising event promise it will be a festival of fun, food trucks, fellowship, and shopping.

There will be plenty of winter and Christmas-themed activities, bounce houses, and festive train rides for the younger kids, along with video game tournaments, outdoor laser tag, and a dunk tank for the older ones. Kids can take their energy out on the Car Bash.

A Craft and Vendor show will have items for those people on any Christmas list. Guests may wish to ask their favorite crafters and vendors for their business cards so they can get in touch with them later for custom work.

Santa will be available for pictures so families will want to remember to bring cameras and cellphones.

Wonderland of Lights in Brandon also brings in the season in a couple of weeks. This is a drive-thru with still and animated light displays. For those who wish to leave their cars, there will be a North Pole train, horse-drawn wagon, and amusement rides. Craft, food, and beverage vendors will be on site.

Jinglefest will be December 1 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Immanuel Lutheran School, 2913 John Moore Road.

The Wonderland of Lights in Brandon begins November 23 and goes until December 31 at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds.
