What's Happening in Brandon, FL…

Brandon invited to Tampas Red White and Blue Fest

Families in Brandon may want to attend the Tampa Red White and Blue Fest that will be presented by the committee of Jazz in July.

Touted as “the All American Experience”, the festival is to embrace Florida’s history and culture. The event will be free and family-oriented.

The Riverwalk will feature a Jazz and Blues Concert with headliner Stephanie Sanders. Ann Poonkasem, Miss National Patriot 2015, will be the guest of honor at a meet-and-greet, while Trailmate Igloo will be sponsoring a Family Fun Igloo Drag Race.

There will be pick-ups and drop-offs at the park compliments of Pirate Water Taxi Rides, and the food items guests associate with summer will be available at the All American Food Court. Those with an artistic flare will enjoy doing paintings at the DIY Art Workshop’s PatriARTic Bar. Local artists will have exhibitions at the American Art and History Lounge, and the BST Sunstate Greyhound Adoption Agency will hold a Red, White and Blue Meet and Greet.

Children aged 12 and under can enjoy getting the America Flag painted on their faces, among many other activities that will be available for them.

Everyone will want to mark their calendars for July 3. The event will be at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park, 601 Old Water Street, Tampa and will run from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
