Brandon area supports veterans with golf tournament

Hillsborough County Veterans Helping Veterans is holding its 2018 Golf Tournament in a few days. The event will have 18 holes of golf, a luncheon and an awards ceremony.

Registration is $100 per golfer, which will include golf, cart, a luncheon and a goody bag. At events such as this, local organizations donate promotional products such as promotional pens, visors, golf balls, coupons, and discounts for the goody bags.

Brandon duffers will be competing in contests including the Longest Drive on the Par 5 Hole and Closest to the Pin on the Par 3 Hole.

Sponsors at the Commendation level will set up booths with their products and services at the tee box. Banner printing will be carried out with the company logo design for companies sponsoring at the $3,000 Medal of Honor level. These individual banners will be located on each of the 18 holes.

All of the funds raised at this event will go toward Hillsborough County’s needy, homeless and hungry veterans through the Veterans Outreach program of the Hillsborough County Veterans Helping Veterans, which is a non-profit organization.

The 2018 Golf Tournament will be Saturday, September 15 at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club, 13050 Summerfield Boulevard, Riverview. Sign-in starts at 7:00 am, the Shot Gun Start is at 8:15 am, and the Luncheon and Awards Ceremony begins at 1:00 pm. Registration closes this Monday, September 3.
