Hexagon hosts open house
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, a company that specializes in helping manufacturers by using sensors to gather data about the ways they operate, held an open house in Wilmington recently.
The company analyzes data and implements solutions that help businesses streamline their manufacturing processes or solve other problems. On May 13, Hexagon invited people to see demonstrations of their products, listen to presentations, and participate in one-on-one sessions with the company’s experts. There was also an official ribbon cutting, followed by a reception that evening. The facility is known as the ‘Hexagon Solution Center’, and is in Wilmington on First State Boulevard.
Hexagon operates 12 such Solution Centers throughout North America; they are located in major technology and manufacturing areas. The center in Wilmington plans to offer customer support and training for manufacturing companies in the Mid-Atlantic area, concentrating on industries such as food processing, automotive manufacturing, and shipbuilding. The Wilmington facility has a technology showroom, a training center, and various offices. During the open house, visitors were able to see the latest developments in manufacturing, automation, and metrology.
Hexagon’s CEO and president, Angus Taylor, said he was glad to open the new facility, and that the company is eager to work with local manufacturing concerns to help them solve process control or quality control problems.
Hexagon might consider creating brochures, including photos that explain its products and services, and distributing them to area manufacturers.
