Farmers Market to open in Wilmington

The Downtown Wilmington Farmers Market is returning this year, opening in early June and running through the end of October.

The market attracts locals and visitors as it presents fresh produce, herbs, plants, and flowers as well as crafts, art, jewelry, and baked goods.

The market is held at Rodney Square and is open every Wednesday from 10:00 until 2:00 pm, rain or shine. A variety of food trucks will be on hand offering tasty treats. Entertainment is also part of the event. Visitors can enjoy breakfast or lunch on outdoor tables, or learn more from the information tent team.

Some of the farmers participating in this event include Bright Spot Farms, Bushel and Berry Farm, Locust Point Farms, and Sorbello Girls Farm Market.

Produced by the Downtown Visions non-profit company, the farmers market is part of the organizers’ goal to present and maintain a vibrant downtown filled with vitality and forward progression.

Banners are used frequently in vendor booths to depict the company name, logo, and products and service available. The banner printing can be produced on vinyl of any size, contain grommets built-in for hanging, and be prepared in any color combination.

A vendor application is available on the Downtown Wilmington website for those interested in participating in the Farmers Market, which begins this Wednesday, June 2. For more information, contact the market manager, Tucker Casey, at tcasey@downtownvisions.org or call 302-425-0196.
