New restaurant opens in Colorado Springs

Brother Luck, who owns the Four by Brother Luck restaurant located on Tejon Street, has opened another Colorado Springs restaurant, called Lucky Dumpling.

Lucky Dumpling is on Wahsatch Avenue, and features a menu of Asian-American fusion items, particularly dim sum. Luck has kept the number of choices to a minimum, and his prices reasonable.

Luck says his first memory of eating out is of having dumplings with his father in Chinatown when he was just five years of age. He has traveled extensively in Japan and China, and grew to love dumplings of all kinds – a taste he retains to this day. He says he is excited to be able to focus on the concept of various dumplings, such as shumai or potstickers, and put his own twist on them.

The restaurant is colorful, well-decorated, and features an open plan, where diners can see the kitchen and watch the cooks at work. In the back of the restaurant Luck has set up a small tiki-style bar where the choices include beer with an Asian influence, spirits, and shaken craft cocktails.

The restaurant is open seven days a week, from noon until 10:00 pm Monday through Thursday; noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday; and noon until 9:00 pm Sunday. Owners and managers of new businesses such as this can distribute promotional pens to help build brand awareness among customers.
