A young internet sensation is set to appear in Colorado Springs soon.
JoJo Siwa is a singer, actress, dancer, and social media personality who has several YouTube channels. She and her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, appeared on the reality television show “Dance Moms” for two seasons. She released a single, “Boomerang,” which tackles the issue of online bullying. The video that accompanies the song has been “liked” more than 2.5 million times, and has been seen over 450 millions times. In 2018, Vivid Seats named Siwa “Breakout Artist of the Year.”
Siwa performed live at the Kids' Choice Awards show, at which time she was the youngest performer ever to appear at the ceremony. She performed a mashup of three songs: “Boomerang,” “Hold the Drama,” and “Bubble Gum.” For the occasion, Siwa wore a sequined top and rainbow tutu, and her trademark gigantic hair bow. The stage, where she and her backup dancers performed, was a wonderland of stars, hearts, unicorns, and rainbows.
One reviewer called her performance “sugary-sweet,” adding they had “never seen anything cuter than this performance,” and thaty were now a solid JoJo fan.
JoJo Siwa will appear at the Broadmoor World Arena on Venetucci Boulevard on March 11, at 7:00 pm. The performance is suitable for all ages, but will probably be most exciting for teenage girls. Poster printing could provide colorful advertising for an event like this.
