Tony Bennett to come to Temecula for singular performance

Singer Tony Bennett will be performing at the Pechanga Theater at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula next month as part of his “I Left My Heart” Tour.

Major concerts such as this one are often advertised and promoted throughout a region with flyer printing.

Bennett is now 93 years old, with next year marking 70 years of his professional recording career. He has produced dozens of platinum and gold albums and charms his audiences with his stage presence and legendary vocals. He has won 19 Grammy Awards including its Lifetime Achievement Award and was honored by the Library of Congress with The Gershwin Prize, the first time this honor has been given to a singer.

The beloved crooner has also supported several humanitarian efforts throughout his career. In 1965, he joined Dr. Martin Luther King in the march in Selma. He has helped to raise funds by lending his artwork to the American Cancer Society, and helped raise millions of dollars towards diabetes research. He and his wife, Susan, established Exploring The Arts, a nonprofit organization that supports the arts in public high schools.

Antonia Bennett, Bennett’s daughter, has been touring with her father and will be the opening act for the concert, performing several pop and jazz pieces. Bennett’s show will be on Sunday, January 26 at 7:30 pm.
