Temecula winery earns top awards in wine competition

At the recent 37th Annual San Diego International Wine and Spirits Challenge, 10 distinctive recognitions were given to South Coast Winery of Temecula for its wines.

Among the California producers of wine were those from Santa Barbara, Sonoma, Napa, and Temecula, in addition to other wine producers from Wisconsin, Washington state, Oregon, and Texas. There were also entries from other countries around the world, including France, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. This wine competition is one of the longest-running held in the United States.

The President of Carter Hospitality (which owns South Coast Winery), Jeff Carter, expressed his pride in the awards given to the winery—five sliver, three gold, and two platinum. It was an extensive and impressive competition given its coverage in this country and around the world, he added.
