An upcoming Temecula workshop will give those who take part an opportunity to learn about the value of play in a child’s education.
The seminar will provide educators with a greater understanding of the importance of play in the classroom, as well as how it can improve cognitive speed and benefit academic outcomes. A variety of screen-free games will be presented, along with how they can increase a child’s ability to process information and use it to make the best decisions they can.
The workshop has been organized by Play With A Purpose’s (PWP) founder James Pine, who noted that the training has been designed to be both informative and fun for all those who participate. It will provide hands-on experience and will be taught in the context of common core standards. Flyer printing can be used to create an assortment of promotional materials that advertise an event such as this throughout the local community.
The Benefits of Play & Its Impact on Teaching & Learning seminar will be held at the Temecula Public Library, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm on November 18. The cost to participate is $45 each, and discounted pricing is being offered for groups of five or more.
Further details about the workshop, and an opportunity to sign up to participate can be found on the event’s website.
