The annual Chapter Tea was recently celebrated by the National Charity League, Inc. (NCL, Inc.), Temecula Valley Chapter at the Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula. This organization is a non-profit of girls and their mothers across the country.
During the tea, daughters learn from their mothers about the importance of enjoying a leisurely afternoon with friends and taking time out from their busy lives. The daughters, called Ticktockers, learn how to be an appreciative and proper guest, as well as hostess skills. They also become mentors as they learn the etiquette of tea and teach their respective classes. The mothers, known as Patronesses, and their daughters also wear hats and participate in a headwear contest.
There was a fashion show during the tea, presented by the Ticktockers of the class of 2020. Three outfits were presented by each girl that reflected their extracurricular activities, their own style, and their future plans. In preparing for this show, the girls learned about modeling, presenting themselves in public, and demonstrating leadership skills.
President of the Temecula Chapter, Jeni Koperek, was appreciative of everyone who worked to put the event together. The mothers also donated over 100 unwrapped toys to give to MCAS Camp Pendleton.
Members of organizations such as this often carry out poster printing to promote their activities, particularly for their many philanthropic organizations.
