Workshop to help Roseville get growing

Thanks to its warm climate and good growing conditions, Roseville offers a great place to produce fruit, and an upcoming workshop will help residents get started.

For a variety of reasons such as the rising prices, a desire to be more sustainable, or just because they enjoy it, more people are finding ways to grow their own food. The Top Ten Tips for Going Fruit Trees workshop may be a valuable learning opportunity, and it will be held at the Riley Library.

Local Master Gardeners will be sharing their skills and knowledge, and the tips they share can be actioned even by gardening newbies. A variety of growing methods will be discussed, and pruning, pest control, and other hints for growing healthy fruit will be reviewed as well. The two-hour-long session is intended for adults only, and residents and non-residents alike can participate. The admission fee starts at $5.

Gardening is a pastime many enjoy and workshops give them an opportunity to learn and hone their skills. They may appreciate receiving horticulturally themed Promotional Products and plant care sheets, and these may both be sourced from an area printing services company.

The date for this introduction to the care and maintenance of fruit trees is scheduled for January 8. It will begin at 10:00 am, and continue on until 12:00 noon. The registration system for the class is now open.
