Runners look forward to obstacle race challenge

Roseville Fitness Enthusiasts and those just out for a muddy good time will be participating in the 2020 Great Auburn Obstacle Race coming toward the end of September. The timed event will be a good run for first timers and challenging for seasoned runners.

The race will be a 5K through 20 plus obstacles. Along with the traditional mud pit some of the obstacles will include tire run, rat maze, creek crossing, weighted sled pull and an over and under. There will also be climbing walls and ladders plus plenty of trail running.

Registration must be done online until September 26. Individual tickets will be $35 and if any are available on race day, they will go up to $40. Runners that register online before August 31 will be guaranteed T-shirts featuring the event graphic design. Kids eight years old and older will run the same course as adults.

Teams of up to 10 can register online for $300 up to September 20. All team members will run the whole course and be entered in the same wave.

Runners will be assigned to starting waves. Competitive runners will be in waves beginning at 9:00 am with the non-competitive runners starting in waves afterward.

The 2020 Great Auburn Obstacle Race will take place Sunday, September 27 starting at 9:00 am at Auburn Regional Park, 3770 Richardson Drive, Auburn.
