Roseville to hold expo for home and garden lovers

Roseville gardeners and DIY enthusiasts will not want to miss the upcoming DIY Expo and Garden Tour. Both events will be free and open to the public.

The Roseville Greener Garden Tour will be self-guided tours through local gardens that best exemplifies sustainable living here in our region. Tickets will be required, each of which will be good for one carload. Maps of the tours will be available at the Expo venue.

The free Do-it-yourself Expo will have experts like EcoLandscapers, Master Gardeners from the University of California, and industry professionals educating guests on such projects as creating, installing, and caring for water-efficient gardens. Local vendors will be offering ecofriendly and water-wise services, products, California-friendly plants, and organic foods. The Greene Gardens Photo Gallery will have pictures of past All-Star gardens on display. Workshops and demonstrations will feature topics covering garden water usage and the creation of healthy soils.

Guests will be able to win raffles and drawings throughout the day. One lucky expo attendee will win a piece of art created by local sculpture artist Phil Evans.

Those interested in either the tour or expo will want to mark their Calendars for this Saturday, May 14. The Expo and tour will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Boulevard, Mahany Park and Gardens in Roseville.
