Roseville dog owners will be scooping up their pooches and heading for Rocklin Woofstock – a festival for dogs – coming to the area in late August.
Some activities on the agenda are dog races, a dog obstacle course, and art projects. Three dog races will be held – pug, wiener and open. Proud owners of the winning dogs will be taking pictures and taking them to local Print shops for Copies and possible poster printing. Preregistration will be required because there will only be 12 spots in each race.
The Pawrade will be a chance for dogs and owners to dress in costumes, maybe even matching, and march for a chance to win prizes.
A large array of dog-themed vendors will be hawking everything from doggie-daycare, shampooing, and manicuring and vet services, to doggie treats, supplies, and obedience training.
The 5th annual Grateful Dog Rescue Run will be a timed 5K walk/run for dogs and their owners. The course will be on park trails, and proceeds will go the RRUFF Healing Heroes program.
A Pawcake breakfast(pancakes) will be served before and after the race. Local rescue groups and shelters will bring pooches that can be adopted right there on the spot.
Food vendors will be selling pizza, burgers, ice cream, kettle corn, nachos, coffee, and shave ice.
Woofstock will be August 26 from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm at Johnson-Springview Park, 5460 5th Street, Rocklin.
