Roseville readying for 4th of July

Plans for this year’s 4th of July celebrations are in full swing in Roseville with a parade, activities in the park and fireworks.

The city is presently readying for its Independence Day parade with online entry application, guidelines and rules. Parade participants will step off at the intersection of Douglas/Vernon/ Riverside streets at 9:00 am and march past the Civic Center on Vernon Street. Once they get to Lincoln Street, they will turn right and right again onto Park Drive.

Groups that enter parades like this often get some banner printing done before the big event so they will have Banners introducing them to the spectators.

Everyone is invited to stick around for the fun in Royer Park. A Concert Band will play patriotic music while kids enjoy activities and games. Local food vendors will be onsite selling food and summer treats.

At 5:00 pm gates open at the Grounds, 451 Los Vegas Avenue, for fireworks. Seating in the grandstand will be on a first come first serve basis, but guests may bring chairs and blankets. The venue will have activities and bounce houses for the children and concessions for everybody. Some of the activities will require a small fee. Fireworks are scheduled to be released between 9:15 pm and 9:30 pm. Although there will be no entrance fees there will be a $10 parking fee.
