Roseville readies for holiday parade

The City of Roseville and the Downtown Roseville Partnership are inviting everyone to participate in the 60th Annual Sylvia Besana Holiday Parade coming towards the end of November.

Floats, businesses, equestrian units, bands, clubs, and dance teams will be marching through Vernon Street Town Square. All entries will be judged, and prizes and trophies will be announced on the city’s website.

Groups and sponsors that participate in such parades usually like to get their seasonal banner printing done as soon as they register. That way, they can be sure that they will have Banners ready to introduce themselves to the spectators.

Bands and horse entries are instructed to line up beside The Rock Horse on Bulen Street and all other entries will line up on 6th and Vernon Street. The parade will disband behind Roseville Commons in Roseville Square’s north lot.

The event will begin way before the parade steps off at 10:30 am. The venue will have handmade arts and craft, non-profits, local commercial and home-based business booths, plenty of food vendors and family-oriented fun.

Those interested in becoming part of the event need to sign up before Thursday, November 11. Sponsorships at $100, $250, $500, $1,000, and $2,500 are now available.

The parade will take place Saturday, November 20. The fun will begin at 9:00 am and end around 1:00 pm.
