Roseville will be painting the town red, white and blue again this year with a 5k race, parade, activities, and the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration.
The annual Run Crime Out of Roseville 5K and 10K fun walk/runs will kick off the festivities. The location has changed this year and will now start at Roseville’s Town Square on Vernon Street. The 10K steps off at 7:20 am, the 5K runners will start at 7:45 am and the quarter-mile free kids’ run will begin at 8:45 am.
The traditional Independence Day Parade will step off at 9:00 am at the intersection of Douglas, Vernon, and Riverside streets. Spectators can expect to see dance and drill teams, drum corps and bands, commercial and business sponsored floats, equestrians and units of marchers from local clubs, schools and nonprofit organizations. All units are encouraged to get their banner printing done early if they will be using Banners as identification Signs.
After the parade, Royer Park will have activities from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Performing Arts of Roseville will sponsor its Capitol Pops Concert Band. Kids can enjoy the mobile library, balloon, and face painting artists and many other activities. Food vendors will be onsite.
The 4th of July Fireworks Celebration at the Grounds will begin at 4:00 pm. The event will be free and will include concessions, activities for the children and bounce houses. Fireworks start at 9:30 pm.
