The Placer County Fair is coming in mid-June. The theme this year will be “A Good Thing Growing.”
Music entertainment this year will be, Poindexter, Rachael Wilson, Johnny Mahalo, Aces & Alloys, The Alberson Duo and Autin Mo.
Other entertainment will be the traditional Pedal Pullers. Kids will be racing their pedal tractors. Four-year-olds start pulling at 75 lbs. for 25 feet. Older kids must pull heavier weights.
The All-Alaskan Racing Pigs will have teams of eight little porkers running a flat 100-yard dash and 50-yard high hurdles.
The fair will have a family fun zone, a Miss Placer County Pageant and fireworks every night.
Commercial vendors will be lining up outdoors to sell their goods and services and some may be handing out Promotional Products.
Local arts and crafters will also be selling their creations. Those who have had experience in selling items at the fair usually remember to bring Business Cards with them so attendees can get in touch with them later for custom work.
There will be Junior Livestock Exhibitors, too. They will be divided into large livestock and small livestock. The livestock auction will be Saturday, June 22nd starting at 10:00 am.
Still exhibits will include agriculture, preserved and baked food, arts and crafts, horticulture, clothing and textiles, fine arts, and photography. All categories will be divided into adult and youth.
The Placer County Fair will run from June 20nd to 23rd at the Placer County Fairgrounds.
