Roseville goes golfing for charity

The Rotary Club of North Sacramento Foundation will be holding a golf fundraiser toward the end of January. Both pros and novice players are encouraged to attend.

The venue will have a high-tech multi-level driving range. Balls will have micro-chips and the targets have sensors.

The morning will begin with the check-in and warm-up golf. The silent auction will also begin, and the prize drawing tables will be set up.

The second hour and a half will be the golf tournament. Contests will include putting, longest drive and closest-to-the-pin.

Following the golfing, a buffet will be served. During the half hour before the awards ceremony, there will be free golf and the drawing tables and auction will come to a close. At noon the drawing and silent auction winners will be announced, and awards presented.

Proceeds from this event will go to community service projects supported by the Rotary Club of North Sacramento. Some of these include American River College student scholarships, dictionaries for Three Rivers School District’s third graders and the Oak Park Rotary House at UC Davis Medical Center.

Business people sponsor or attend events such as this to show their community support and can use the photos in their brochure printing or other marketing.

The Rotary Club of North Sacramento Foundation Fundraiser will be Monday, January 21st from 9 am until 1 pm at Top Golf, 1700 Freedom Way.
