Roseville gears up for Christmas holidays

Several events are ringing in the 2018 holiday season here in Roseville.

The Gingerbread House Contest is in full swing and soon it will be time to display the entries in the Civic Center rotunda. Winners in three divisions – individual/family, company/organization and professional (bakery) - will be announced on the City’s website.

Local businesses, schools, and organizations are decorating trees that will go into the 6th Annual Tree Grove. On one special night, the trees will be lit and the Square will be teeming with music, food, Christmas craft tables, and Santa will visit with the children. This is a wonderful opportunity for local Print shops and Stationery printers to do some community outreach to promote their holiday merchandise.

Of course, the Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square will officially mark the beginning of the holidays. Kids will be decorating cookies, visiting Santa, and playing in the kids’ activity zone. Snow is in the forecast and there will be food and music galore.

The Gingerbread House contest entries will be displayed at the rotunda November 27 through December 14. Voting will take place from November 27 through November 30. Winners will be announced December 3.

The Tree Grove lighting ceremony will be November 28 from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. The Christmas Tree Lighting will be November 29 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
