Roseville experiences holiday freeze

Roseville will get to experience the 1st Annual Holiday Freeze Festival coming in mid-December.

Everyone can go snow tubing down 100 yard-hill made of faux snow at night. Guests can also make snow angels and snowmen in the Snow Pit. The Winter Carnival Midway will offer rides ranging from the traditional merry-go-round and Ferris wheel, to the “Rampage.”

The Freeze Gingerbread house will be a full-scale gingerbread house crammed with Holiday treats, candies, and cookies created by local confectionery and baker vendors. A Santa’s igloo will have an array of holiday gifts.

Santa will be sitting on his throne ready to interact with the children. Mrs. Claus will present a Story Time where she will relate yuletide tales about the elves, the North Pole, and Santa.

Parents, at festivals such as this one, often bring cameras to take pictures of their littles ones. The photos are then taken to local Print shops for Copies to send to grandparents and other relatives.

Characters such as the Ice Princess and Eddy the Snow Yeti will be meeting and greeting the little ones. The evening will be ablaze with light shows and there will be D.I.Y. s’mores, Slingshot Target Play, a Christmas Tree Maze, and a Polar Princess Castle.

Entertainment will include Selena, Beatles, and Taylor Swift tribute bands, fire dancers, acrobats, dance troupes, and cultural acts.

Holiday Freeze Fest will be December 13, 2019 through January 5, 2020 at Deino’s Farmers Market & Swap Meet, 1551 Vineyard Road.
