A few weeks into March many Celtic and Fantasy fans will head to the third annual Edge of Spring Fantasy Fair. This year the event has been moved to an indoor event center.
A stage will have continuous Fantasy and Celtic- themed bands such as Delhi 2 Dublin, Abney Park and BROTHER.
Apocalyptic, medieval, Steampunk and fantasy groups will have guild yards and themed camps set up for guests to walk through and meet the realms’ subjects. Vendors will be hawking fantasy and Celtic themed wares, and food.
Knights in full armor will be battling in full contact extreme fighting bouts. Newly added this year will be bicycle jousting. Festival attendees are invited to grab a lance, mount one of the festival’s “steel steeds” and head out onto the field ready for battle.
Pictures taken at events such as this often go to Print shops as part of the event’s future advertising campaigns.
General admission is $18.99 and two day passes are $24.99. Special $39.99 two-day passes will include a swag bag and hand-crafted rosewood wands. Each wand will have a gemstone attached to it by a copper wire. Kids under 13 will get in free.
Edge of Spring Fantasy Fair will be from 10:00 AM to 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22 at The Grounds Roseville, 451 Los Vegas Avenue.
