Many Roseville fitness enthusiasts will be starting their Thanksgiving Day with the annual Roseville Turkey Trot. Participants are invited to race, jog, run, walk, or crawl if necessary to participate in the 5K and 10K.
The event proceeds will go to at-risk youth recreational programs such as Youth Passports, Operation Swim, Swim Passport, and Sparks Passport.
All participants who register before November 8 will get their names printed on their racing bibs. Adults will also receive long sleeve performance-blend shirts while kids will get 100% cotton T-Shirts displaying a graphic design. Those in either race who cross the finish line with their bibs visible will receive finishers’ medals sporting the event’s Logo Design.
Racers and spectators are asked to bring nonperishable food items for Saint Vincent DePaul’s food program on race day on Vernon Street, or during packet-pickup at the Roseville Sports Center in Mahany Park on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday before the race).
Local vendors will be on site before and after the races. These will be organizations and businesses that will be passing out marketing materials such as promotional Pens, other Promotional Products, and coupons.
Both races will be on November 2 and will begin and end on Vernon Street Town Square in Downtown Roseville. Start time will be 9:00 am. The Roseville Sports Center is located at 1545 Pleasant Grove Blvd. for packet-pickup.
